While Backstreets Bar and Grill is by far my favorite restaurant in Hickory, NC Backstreets of Hickory, the new Highland Avenue Restaurant run by Meg and Robert Locke offers a wonderful dining experience!  Reminds me of being in Boston with that open-air feel and great views all around.  I just found out they are doing a brunch for Mother's Day with seatings at  10:00, 12:00 and 2:00 - reservations only so get your table booked!  P.S.  I'm looking for a mother to take!
